KL Age Group Swimming 2017 unveiled exponential results

The first meet of the year and the much awaited KL Age Group Swimming Championship 2017 has come and gone just like the erratic weather intertwined with hot blazing sun and stormy downpour during the race at Kompleks Renang Kuala Lumpur, Cheras.

Held for 3 days from 13-15 January, 2017, the qualifying meet was participated by a record of 860 swimmers from 16 clubs and schools affiliated to Persatuan Renang Amatur Kuala Lumpur, the organiser. Qualifiers will be eligible to participate in the forthcoming National Age Group Swimming Championship 2017 in Melaka in March 2017.

IBSC alone has registered the highest number of swimmers (189) despite many members were swimming for their respective schools.

MR-Meet Record

We thank the hard work of coaches at various levels in producing excellent results for the swimmers. Many great PBs were charted with significant times being slashed by committed swimmers. The pre-comp swimmers, some of which experienced their first ever race in the meet, also did well by improving leaps and bounds.

The team managers, chaperones and volunteers are to be applauded as well for taking care of the welfare of the swimmers and in marshaling them.
